They say that true friends can pick up right where they left off no matter how long time passes in between, and it absolutely held true when I met up with my old friend Drew and his gorgeous bride-to-be Ashley. I had the amazing opportunity of photographing the two of them at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta. In the short time we spent together, I could see for myself how very perfect they were for each other.
I loved hearing the story of how they met in this tiny little bar in the middle of nowhere during a snowstorm. Ashley moved here to Atlanta to be with Drew when he made a career move. Drew, originally being from Chicago, wanted some of the buildings that lit up at night in the background to remind him of the big city he left. I think we did OK on this :)
They are just ridiculously beautiful together...
One of Ashley's favorite things to do is sit next to a fire pit with a nice glass of wine. Luckily we had both of those handy for this shoot! And finally, my favorite shot of the evening:
Thank you Ashley and Drew for spending some time with me during the hectic final weeks before you say "I do"! Just having a few moments to slow down and enjoy each other at this session was beautiful to witness, and watching the two of you interact literally gave me goose bumps. Your love reminds me of how important it is to cherish every moment together.
